Hummus

My hummus recipe was also requested, so here it is!

“Breakfast” Hummus

1 can garbanzos
3 T tahini
4 T olive oil
2 cloves garlic
1/2 c ripe olives (I use one small can of sliced ripe olives)
4 T lemon juice
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp salt

Heat a small pan and add the olive oil and garlic. Cook until garlic is just beginning to soften, then add with all other ingredients to bowl of food processor. Process until smooth. Serve with veggies, crispbread, or tortilla chips.

This one I actually doubled for the party. As with onion, I'm sensitive to too much raw garlic, and anyway I like to eat this for breakfast, so I cook the garlic for a milder taste. The olives make it even more filling. And tasty!

Enjoy!
